[RESOLVED]Another DHL nightmare thread January 24, 2018

    I'k lamentable, only I just need to become my frustrations out of my system.

    I ordered a OnePlus 5T a couple of days ago. It "apparently" shipped pretty fast from Poland to Copenhagen, information technology's destination, and yesterday I was expecting it to be delivered as it arrived at the sorting facility very early morning, merely the tracker didn't update the entire twenty-four hour period and by the end of the twenty-four hours the commitment appointment had changed to yesterday "by the end of the twenty-four hours" to "The Estimated Delivery Engagement is currently unavailable. Delight try over again subsequently." I googled this and panicked and raged a little over the corporeality of times this has happened to people in the past, feeling betrayed, ripped off and afraid that my package was lost somewhere.

    Fast forward to this morning, and I call DHL. The adult female on the telephone explains to me that the phone is, in fact, non in Denmark AT ALL. Information technology wasn't on the container from Poland that information technology SHOULD have shipped with. To this one might wonder: why the **** don't you lot do anything about information technology immediately instead of waiting for me to call yous! She told me she would begin an investigation in Poland immediately, but that I certainly wouldn't get the phone today, much to my disappointment later on having promised information technology delivered yesterday. She was pretty rude, didn't apologize on behalf of her company'south error, and now I'chiliad left waiting for something that might have been lost or stolen in Poland. I payed a ******* premium in actress aircraft fees to go "fast and secure commitment" in improver to the price of the phone, which isn't expensive merely it's heavy on my personal budget, and this is what I get. OnePlus doesn't want to refund the premium shipping costs, I've asked.

    FIRST UPDATE: Telephone has not been located in Poland. DHL will call me equally soon every bit they have news from Leipzig.

    Second UPDATE: Manifestly my phone was accidentally sent to a facility in Mali, West Africa. Woopty doo. It should have been sent from Mali to my location. I don't know how long it'southward going to take. I expect to have more news tomorrow. I have updated the tracker to reverberate this.

    3rd UPDATE: The package has been candy in Bamako, Republic of mali. I'yard simply going to update this every time I come across the tracker has updated.

    FOURTH UPDATE: The package has finally left Mali, on form towards Copenhagen I hope. With any luck it will arrive at the sorting facility early morning.

    5th UPDATE: The package has now arrived at a sort facility in Paris. I'k a little surprised that they didn't send it directly to Copenhagen. I'yard non expecting to receive the parcel today.

    SIXTH UPDATE: The woman handling the example just called me to explain that the DHL guys in Poland accidentally put my phone in the wrong container and was sent to Mali. This doesn't explain why it was scanned in Leipzig and Denmark and why information technology appears on the map in a tracking app where it seems to travelled FROM Kingdom of denmark to Africa and dorsum to Europe. Very fishy.

    7th UPDATE: My phone has been candy in Paris

    EIGHT UPDATE: Departed facility in Paris

    Ninth UPDATE: Package finally arrived in Denmark this morning time and is with the carrier for delivery old today "by the end of the day"

    Tenth AND FINAL UPDATE: So, I finally got the phone, and information technology's great. I really like it. Everything seems to be in club, the phone wasn't missing or anything, and the package didn't look like it had been opened or tampered with, though information technology did look a piddling muddy. I fifty-fifty got my money back for the shipping, which was a huge surprise to me actually, so I'k actually happy most that!

    So, my final words: Thank you to everyone who commented, helped me, showed sympathy and generally just agreed with the fact that this whole situation has been completely ridiculous. For anyone considering buying a OnePlus 5T through the official website, I promise y'all see my thread, considering yous need to go in with "realistic" expectations of how your package volition exist treated by DHL lol. If you lot ask me it might even exist easier to merely purchase it through your phone company or some other retailer, unless yous just really want the phone for the cheapest price possible. Even so, unless you absolutely MUST have tracking (and tracking is a good affair in case messed up things similar this should happen) and so go alee and buy priority shipping, simply don't expect it to necessarily evidence up inside the 1-three days promised, and don't be afraid to complain and claim your money dorsum if it doesn't. I wait the parcel will show up on time in virtually cases, only I was very unlucky, and apparently I'g not the only one.

    So, I finally got the phone, and it'south groovy. I really like it. Everything seems to be in order, the phone wasn't missing or anything, and the package didn't look like it had been opened or tampered with, though information technology did look a little dirty. I even got my coin back for the shipping, which was a huge surprise to me really, so I'1000 actually happy about that!

    Practice you accept the phone? If they find the parcel is lost, do you lot recall it'due south worth it to ask OnePlus to send me one more? I really, really, really, really want this phone, maybe even more than I would want a Pixel 2, which I can't even afford, but I have lost a lot of faith in their pick of carrier and I don't feel confident that they are actually capable of delivering a device to me. I have never, ever, in my entire life, had a package I've ordered become lost in the process, and with my kickoff time with DHl, they lose it

    I'm considering canceling this order and buying a Pixel 1 from within my country, just I don't know if it's worth information technology.

    Also, what practise y'all mean with "log a back up phone call" ? OnePlus doesn't accept a telephone service as far every bit I'm aware.

    Unfortunately I don't share your optimism, but I'one thousand waiting for their update on Leipzig so there is however a adventure.

    I chatted with OnePlus support and the person told me that he couldn't refund the shipping. I assume they're going to tell me the same the side by side time I enquire, no thing how much I insist. Simply I am going to insist. You say "log a support call", though, and they don't accept phone support.

    If you lot won't receive telephone in a week, open dispute in PayPal and you will get your money back. PayPal is known for fair treating customers in such cases.

    If and so, open up a ticket with OnePlus support and PM me your support ticket number.
    I can escalate to OnePlus CS and encounter if the logistics team can advise further

    Edit: looking at the parcel log history, it appears that it did reach DHL Copenhagen since its been scanned at that location.

To that I have to say, please read my OP once again thoroughly: "OnePlus doesn't desire to refund the premium shipping costs, I've asked" - information technology's before the edit at the end of the OP. And further downward, in response to Izzykasha, I write: "I chatted with OnePlus support and the person told me that he couldn't refund the aircraft. I presume they're going to tell me the aforementioned the next time I inquire, no matter how much I insist. Merely I am going to insist." - I accept non chatted with OnePlus since then, only I still feel that the extra coin I payed for fast and secure shipping has gone to waste, and I will demand for that money to be refunded.

    Secondly, y'all quote my tracker which says that the packet was scanned in Denmark, merely once again, if y'all read my mail carefully I say: "Fast forward to this morning, and I telephone call DHL. The adult female on the telephone explains to me that the telephone is, in fact, not in Denmark AT ALL. Information technology wasn't on the container from Poland that information technology SHOULD take shipped with. " - then no, it can't have been scanned in Kingdom of denmark if what the woman says is true. I realise that it's odd, and I don't understand how something like this can happen. But I now have farther testify to support this fact, as my tracker finally updated today at 15:28:

    The phone arrived in ******* Mali. I know, right?! How do you lot botch something that desperately?! And when I called DHL once more at sixteen:30, an hour the tracker was updated, the guy didn't tell me this (I was out walking) and just told me to wait for the woman in charge of my case to contact me tomorrow. Merely how lazy tin can yous be???

    Frustrations aside, if I'm to believe this petty update, the package is finally on information technology'south way. From Africa, granted, and yes information technology seems suspicious, merely nosotros'll meet what happens tomorrow. I do non have a ticket number with OnePlus as I don't believe starting a chat gives yous something like that, but honestly no matter what the tracker says I accept lost all confidence in DHL, so I think I'll start a case, get a ticket and give it to you.

    Lol Mali. I think Oneplus need to stop using DHL in Europe. I've seen countless comments on their Facebook page besides. Horror stories indeed.

    Keep us updated when you get your parcel and hopefully refund for shopping costs. This is definitely not fast shipping.

    well if their grammar is correct, DHL considered the Copenhagen centre to be the incorrect destination and the Bamako middle to be the correct ane. (there is a period between the two phrases.
    (Some guy probably saw 1+ on the box and sent it to friends and so they could share the spoils. Either DHL is faster than those guys, either your phone will soon be in some shop in Bamako, sold for twice the price (as many brands do non sell in many African countries, their value goes up).

    What the heck. I retrieve I get information technology now. I didn't empathise information technology before. It's in Mali now, but it wasn't sent there by accident. That phone is not coming back. I'm going on the chat with OnePlus immediately. I'm logging it this time.

    he is going to get a 5t Either his original one, either DHL will finance it. All I'grand saying is a packet cannot become from Copenhagen to exist delivered in the local area to being sent to Bamako by mistake. It has to be a deliberate move by a handler. local packages and transit packages do not follow the same path in the facility. what'southward more: EU internal packages and imports/exports from EU are not treated the same mode (mainly due to duties and costums wanting to accept a expect), this is why 1+ uses a smoothen facility to send phones within the EU.
