Don't permit the vocalization throw yous. Crawly book!

This man has made me cry tears of joy and wonder. The vocalization of the guy that reads information technology grates on you lot at first, but he is able to exist many voices through the course of the volume, and becomes very intimate and disarming. Hang in for a while and at the end of this very long book, all you can exercise is eagerly look forward to the other one on the life of Paul. Its not but me saying this. Several friends to whom I have recommended the audiobook say the same affair. If yous have never read a chronological Bible, this is going to be a special care for for you. Enjoy!

The Volume of God: The Bible as Novel (Unabridged)

I enjoyed every chapter in this volume. Information technology fabricated the stories and the people much more alive and real. I take a dissimilar impression of Simon Peter,Mary Magdaline, the time of Abraham and even Judas. I discover myself remembering parts that I never would think of before and selection upwardly the Bible to re-read different chapters and verses with a new agreement. Only reading the Bible never brought me back for clarification, just this book brought me back to the Bible.

Not the Bible... only

This won't substitute for your Bible, but information technology sure will bring the Bible to life! It's true the author has used some literary license to fill in some blanks, but he wearing apparel the Biblical characters in flesh and blood! And the narrator is Fantabulous. I was brought to tears many times and I rejoiced for a new appreciation of "God'southward Book."

Great Narrative

Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book, start to stop. While not a replacement for Bible written report, it is easy to follow, thoroughly entertaining, and brings to life the Bible stories. Definitely worth the fourth dimension. My 80 year old mother heard some of it and said, "that's really in the Bible?"

Great post-obit of the discussion of God in a novel

I was very happy with the novel. I thought the stories followed very closely to the Word of God.
It would be a skillful introduction for someone who had never completely read the Bible especially the erstwhile testament to get an overview of the major stories of the Bible. It is not a substitute for the Bible only an entertaining overview of the Biblical stories.

Avoid audiobooks narrated by author!!

The volume content is actually pretty practiced - basically a novelization of Scripture with coverations between biblical figures extrapolated from the facts. I call up this book helps to sympathise the linear flow of scripture.
However, the narration often made me cringe! The dramatic tone was often frustrating - the pitch and volume of the narration frequently rose and fell in an unnatural design. I call up I would dearest this book with a different (trained) narrator.
Personally, I have non had positive experiences with audiobooks narrated by the author. I actually did not realize that the writer was narrating, but was then frustrated past the narration, that I decided to check and. . . sure enough - the writer was narrating. For me, it just means I need to picket for this and read reviews before I buy!

The Bible in Living Color - Inspired

Equally a Christian for 20 years, I nonetheless notice the Bible a daunting read. While I size up a front-to-back read of the real (Audible-version) affair, I have constitute this to be a superb primer. The book is truthful to the Word and total of 'living color portraits' of about of the essential characters. Information technology inspired my faith, and information technology lifted my perception and appreciation of each person, from Abraham to David to Jesus, peculiarly Jesus. Anyone who is seeking the middle of Christianity will notice it in this book. And when you're done, you lot have to read PAUL, Walter Wangerin Jr.'s other five-star book. Both superb!
